I love going out, visiting new places, having fun, meeting new people but I only do that in my head because when I think of the cost sometimes and going alone, I lose interest. I know that is also the case for some and they just need that “ginger” (push). So this hangout was borne out of the need to do these things I love to do without necessarily breaking the bank.

The maiden edition of the hangout held at Tarkwa Bay beach for a token of 5000 naira. Tarkwa Bay because it is the cleanest when compared to other public beaches in Lagos and I think that is because it is only accessible by water. There is no route to get to the beach by land.

We had to take a boat ride from the shore(opposite Bonny camp) to the beach and that for me was part of the fun. It was my first time on a boat, I thought I’d freak out at first but I was super calm and I enjoyed the ride.

We arrived at the beach at noon (12 pm) and at the time it was really clean and not crowded. It was fun, we played games, made new friends and everyone enjoyed themselves.
